Darby Extend-A-Truck Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, we're gonna be installing Darby's extended truck hitch mounted load extender, part number DTA944. This truck bed extension is gonna help you secure and stabilize extremely long and heavy loads in the back of your truck. It can be used for any excessively long items, such as ladders, lumber, kayaks, and whatever else you can throw back on there. There's a 48 inch extended platform in the back to stack your gear on top of. Located on each side, you'll find a nice tie-down loop, where you can hook bungee cords, ratcheting straps, or just pull straps. And when you've got your tailgate down from the edge of the tailgate to the edge of your extender, it's gonna measure about 35 inches, so you'll have that much more to be able to load up gear onto the back of your truck. more

Darby Extend-A-Truck Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're doing a test fit of the Darby Extend-A Truck hitch mounted load extender. That part number is DTA944. We already have it in our hitch and at one of our positions. We'll first go over this and then we'll show you the second position. What's great about this position is that it is even with your cab of your truck so if you wanted to carry anything, maybe on some cross bars or even on your cab you could line it up with the top of our Extend-A Truck and lay anything across that. Maybe you have some PVC pipe or a kayak or any type of lumber that's longer that you could just set up there. We also have different mounting points for different levels. If you did have cross bars up there and they we're a little higher we could shift this up just a bit to fit with that. more
